The Hunt for Red October

The playoffs have come and the Angels are in the thick of the action. After clinching the AL West title two weeks ago, and the best record in all of baseball last week, the Halos will be hosting the best-of-five Division Series against Kansas City.

Yes, I really want to go and tickets have been pretty reasonable. However, because of the tv obligations, the games are starting at 2pm or 5pm during the week. With those schedules, there's no way I can leave my job and make the games. And, because of home field advantage, the Angels won't host any weekend games.

I know it will be more expensive, but I'm hoping the Angels make it to the LCS or World Series, because then I can go. Sure, I might have to pay an arm-and-a-leg for tickets, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance.

Now some of you may be saying: "why not go see the Dodgers?" That's a fair question. But, I have really come to know this Angels team this season, and if I'm going to spend the big bucks for a ticket, I want to see the team that's near and dearto me. Also, going to Dodger Stadium for a game and not riding my bike would just be too weird for me!

We'll see how the week plays out. Hopefully my next post can be of my impending trip to the LCS or World Series!

Always take on a 3-0 pitch ;)
