USC - Dedeaux Field

For the past few years, I have consulted the Baseball Fan's Bucket List as inspiration for Baseball Road Trips. The idea of Fan Fest and the World Baseball Classic came from this book. I really enjoy opening it up and just reading about some awesome fantasy road trip ideas during the off-season, but when I have the chance to actually cross something off of the list, I jump at the chance. Tomorrow, I'll get that opportunity.

Dedeaux Field is on the campus of the University of Southern California and is the home park of the Trojans. For my first actual baseball game of the year, I'll take the Metrolink into LA, ride my bike down Figueroa Avenue, and see the Trojans play host to the Bison of North Dakota State.

The Bucket List really hypes up the USC Baseball Hall of Fame and the displays that are there. Considering that some of baseball's most famous players played for USC, like Mark McGwire and Randy Johnson, I'm interested in seeing what they have to offer. The book also states that it has been featured in a bunch of baseball movies like A League of their Own.

Sure, I'm a die-hard Oregon Duck fan, but I'm always up for new experiences, even if it means enduring some USC Trojan action. Keep an eye out on Facebook, Twitter and FourSquare for the updates throughout the day.

Always take on a 3-0 pitch ;)
